Breast reconstruction in Germany

Breast reconstruction restores the breast after amputation. Breast reconstruction made from the patient's body tissue is possible using microscopic operation techniques. Today, recent operation techniques and minimal surgical intervention allow most careful operations.

Breast cancer is currently the most common malignant disease in women. Most of the breast or completely have to be removed during cancer treatment. Removal of the breast causes psychological trauma in women, which can be prevented with the help of plastic surgery.

Breast reconstruction is divided into two groups:

• Use of foreign implants

• Use of body tissues of the patient

The tissue of the back, underbelly and buttocks is used during the 3-5 hour breast reconstruction operation. The tissues with a sufficient number of blood vessels are replanted successfully in a new place. These tissues are sewed to circulatory vessels using a special microscopic apparatus. This method avoids the use of extraneous implants and achieves good visual results.

During the breast reconstruction operation a great deal of attention is paid to the fact that the cicatrices are small and invisible.
