Treatment of prostate adenoma in Germany

Prostate adenoma, known as benign prostate hyperplasia, is the most common disease in men over the age of 50.

The symptoms of prostate adenoma are:

  • Symptom of residual urine (after urination there is a feeling of the full bladder)

  • Disorder of potency

Preclinical urological research is recommended before manifestations of the disease (see diagnosis).

Today, the following types of the treatment of prostate adenoma are used in Germany:

  • Laser therapy (laser enucleation of the prostate)

  • Cryotherapy (removal of the prostate adenoma by the use of ice or cold temperature)

  • Cavity removal (in case of a large size of the prostate adenoma)

  • Endoscopic removal of prostate adenomas

As a rule, potency will be preserved while all the above listed types of the treatment of prostate adenoma.
